Anne Frank House tickets are released every Tuesday at 10am CEST for visits six weeks later. If the official calendar has no tickets for your date, the museum says it is sold out and there is no waiting list. Tickets are sold only through annefrank.org, so a tour or lookalike website cannot create access after the official allocation is gone.
Work back six weeks from your visit
The safest calculation is to use a visit that falls on a Tuesday. For example, suppose you want to visit on Tuesday 24 November 2026. Six weeks is 42 days, so counting back 42 days gives Tuesday 13 October 2026. The release point stated by the museum is therefore 10am CEST on 13 October.
For a non-Tuesday visit, start with the Tuesday of that visit week, count back six weeks, and then verify the date shown in the museum's live booking calendar. The museum's official ticket guidance is the controlling page; it states the Tuesday release rule and six-week horizon. Set a reminder in CEST exactly as written rather than silently converting it to your home time zone.
Use the official-domain fraud screen
- Begin on the Anne Frank House page at annefrank.org.
- Follow its own Buy Tickets link to the ticket portal on the annefrank.org domain.
- Leave any similarly named site that claims a commercial tour includes museum access. The museum explicitly warns that commercial parties offering Anne Frank House tours do not provide access.
This check matters because a professional-looking reseller page is not evidence of a museum ticket. The domain is the useful test: the official seller is the museum's own annefrank.org domain.
What to do when your date is sold out
| What the official calendar shows | Useful next move |
|---|---|
| Tickets available | Complete the booking through the official portal. |
| No tickets for the selected date | Treat that date as sold out; there is no waiting list. |
| A third party promises access | Do not rely on it. Return to annefrank.org and choose only an available official date. |
The honest fallback is a different available date, not a waitlist, a reseller, or a tour bundle. If your Amsterdam dates cannot move, plan another activity rather than building the day around access the museum does not offer.
