Worthy Farm — Worthy Farm · Castle Cary station · Bristol Airport · Glastonbury Tor
As of 30 September 2026, Glastonbury Festival's first 2027 ticket sale is less than a day away: combined coach packages open on 1 October at 18:00 BST, followed by the general sale on 4 October at 09:00 BST. There is also a hard catch for late planners. Registration closed on 25 September and will not reopen until after these October sales, so only people who already hold a valid registration can take part.
The festival runs 23-27 June 2027 at Worthy Farm near Pilton in Somerset. The official ticket is GBP 408 (about US$541), and the first payment is a GBP 100 (about US$133) deposit per person. Those dollar conversions use the Bank of England's 28 September 2026 spot reference of GBP 1 to USD 1.3251; your card issuer's rate and fees will differ. This guide is for the decision you need to make now: whether you are eligible to join the sale, which sale to enter, and what committing to a coach package changes.
First check whether every person is registered
Glastonbury tickets are personalised. Under the festival's official 2027 rules, everyone aged 13 or over on opening day needs their own valid registration number before a ticket can be bought. A booking lead also needs the registered postcode for every person in the group. The registration carries a passport-style photograph, and the physical ticket is checked against its named holder at the gate.
Registration is not a ticket and does not improve a person's place in the sale queue. Its role is identity control: tickets are non-transferable, resale is prohibited, and See Tickets is the only authorised seller. If somebody in your group missed the 25 September registration cutoff, do not pay an agent who claims to have a workaround. That person cannot enter the October sale, and a ticket offered through an auction site, social network or unofficial concierge will not be valid for them.
No official Glastonbury entry e-ticket exists. The festival issues physical, photo-personalised admission tickets. An electronic document may cover coach travel or accommodation, but it does not by itself grant festival entry.
The two October sale times are different choices
| Sale | Opens | What you commit to |
|---|---|---|
| Ticket plus coach | 1 October 2026, 18:00 BST | Festival ticket and mandatory travel on one selected coach route |
| General admission | 4 October 2026, 09:00 BST | Festival ticket; arrange transport separately |
The coach sale happens first, but it is not a flexible early-access version of general admission. A whole booking must use one departure town and one departure day. Coach travel is mandatory because the physical festival ticket is handed out during the journey after a photo-ID check. You cannot convert that package to general admission, collect the festival ticket at Worthy Farm, or skip the coach because your flight arrived late.
That condition matters especially for an international traveller. Choose a departure point only after checking that your inbound itinerary can reach it with a generous buffer. Where a departure time is not shown during booking, the operator may confirm it as late as 30 days before travel, and buyers must be available at any time on the selected day. Everyone travelling on the coach needs a paid seat, including children aged 12 and under even though those children do not need a festival admission ticket.
General admission on 4 October leaves transport open. It is the cleaner choice if you cannot safely anchor an international arrival to a specific UK coach, need an accessible journey that a listed coach cannot provide, or plan to travel by rail. The tradeoff is simple: you give up the earlier ticket opportunity and join the later sale.
What the ticket costs and when the rest is due
The GBP 408 weekend price includes a GBP 5 booking fee and covers entry from Wednesday through Sunday plus five nights of standard camping. At the 28 September Bank of England reference rate, GBP 5 is about US$7. Postage and packing costs GBP 11.25 per order of up to six tickets, about US$15, and is charged with the remaining balance rather than the October deposit.
A buyer may reserve as many as six places in one transaction. The October payment is GBP 100 per person; the remaining GBP 308, about US$408, must be paid during the 1-7 April 2027 balance window. For a coach package, the coach fare and a GBP 3 administration charge, about US$4, sit on top of the festival price. Coach fares vary by departure point, so use the amount shown in the official sale rather than budgeting around an old route list.
If the balance is not paid by 23:59 BST on 7 April, the reservation is cancelled and the deposit is returned minus a GBP 25 administration charge, about US$33. A fully paid ticket can be cancelled through the official channel until 7 May subject to the same administration charge; the booking fee and postage are not refunded. Those rules make the deposit a real commitment, not a free hold while a group decides whether it can travel.
All USD figures in this section are planning conversions, not prices charged by Glastonbury. The Bank of England daily spot table is the source for the 1.3251 reference rate. Budget in pounds and leave room for foreign-card conversion costs.
How the queue works on sale day
The 2027 sale uses a queue rather than a refresh race. The festival advises opening the official See Tickets page at least ten minutes before the relevant start time. People already on the page when the sale opens are assigned a random position; anyone arriving afterward joins the back. Refreshing, using several tabs or switching across several devices can make you lose the place rather than improve it.
Prepare one accurate group sheet before the sale: each person's registration number, registered postcode and agreement on the same coach departure if using the first sale. Have a payment card ready and make sure the account holder can complete any issuer security check. A ticket is allocated only after payment processes. Incorrect registration details, another active attempt against the same registration or exceeding the five-minute booking-page window can lock a registration for up to ten minutes.
- Retrieve every registration and confirm the associated postcode before sale day.
- Agree who is the lead booker and who is responsible for payment authentication.
- For the coach sale, agree one feasible departure town and day for the whole group.
- Open only the authorised See Tickets page at least ten minutes early.
- Do not refresh the queue, run automated software or open competing tabs.
- Save the order confirmation and put the April balance window in every traveller's calendar.
Worthy Farm is not in Glastonbury town
The festival takes its name from Glastonbury, but Worthy Farm is near Pilton, roughly east of the town. Do not book a room in Glastonbury town and assume it is the festival gate. Standard camping is already included with the weekend ticket; official paid accommodation for 2027 will be released later in autumn, after the ticket sales.
For independent rail travel, the official guidance names Castle Cary as the best station. A free shuttle for festival ticket holders runs between the station and the festival bus station from Wednesday to Monday when trains are operating. Castle Cary has no festival parking or left-luggage facility, and trolleys are not accepted on the rail shuttle. Train tickets normally open about 12 weeks ahead, so the rail purchase belongs in spring 2027 rather than in this October ticket scramble.
Bristol Airport is a practical flight gateway, but the current festival page has not yet confirmed its complete 2027 local-bus timetable. Its planning route is the airport bus to Bristol Temple Meads, then onward public transport toward the site; wait for the 2027 timetable before buying a tight connection. The combined coach package can remove that last-mile uncertainty only if you can reliably reach its stated departure point and travel when assigned.
UK entry permission is separate from the ticket
A Glastonbury booking does not confer permission to enter the United Kingdom. Check the rule for your passport before committing to non-refundable transport. The live UK government ETA guidance says many non-visa nationals, including many travellers from Europe, the United States, Australia and Canada, usually need an electronic travel authorisation. As of 30 September 2026, an ETA costs GBP 20, about US$27 at the same reference rate, and each traveller needs one, including a baby or child.
British and Irish citizens do not need an ETA, nor do people who already hold a UK visa or permission to live, work or study in the country. Travellers whose nationality requires a visitor visa must use that route instead of applying for an ETA. An ETA permits travel to the border but does not guarantee admission, so resolve the correct document against official guidance rather than relying on a festival booking or an airline itinerary.
Data planning for a crowded festival
Mobile data helps with the journey, rail changes and group coordination, but a field full of festival-goers can put unusual demand on local networks. Do not make one handset your only copy of the coach voucher, train ticket, order details or meeting plan. Save key documents offline, carry a charged power bank and agree a physical meeting point before the group separates.
Before travelling, compare United Kingdom eSIM plans and confirm the handset on Roameo's device compatibility page. Network performance depends on the available local carrier, congestion, terrain and device; an eSIM is useful preparation, not a promise that a busy stage field will have consistent service.
FAQ
When do Glastonbury 2027 tickets go on sale?
Ticket-plus-coach packages open at 18:00 BST on Thursday 1 October 2026. General admission opens at 09:00 BST on Sunday 4 October 2026. Both are sold only through the festival's authorised See Tickets page.
Can I register for Glastonbury after the sale starts?
No. Registration closed at 17:00 BST on 25 September and will not reopen until after the October sales. Every prospective attendee aged 13 or over must already have a valid registration.
How much is a Glastonbury 2027 ticket?
The weekend ticket is GBP 408, about US$541 at the Bank of England's 28 September reference rate. You pay GBP 100, about US$133, in October and the remaining GBP 308, about US$408, in April. Postage and any coach fare are additional.
Can I skip the coach after buying a ticket-plus-coach package?
No. Travel on the selected coach is mandatory, and the physical festival ticket is distributed during that journey after a photo-ID check. The package cannot be converted to general admission.
What is the nearest railway station to Worthy Farm?
Castle Cary is the official recommended station. A free ticket-holder shuttle operates between the station and the festival bus station while trains are running from Wednesday through Monday.
