Roameo

How it works

From cart to connected — how Roameo eSIMs work

Five steps, about three minutes total, no airport kiosk. Read the long version below or jump to whichever step you're stuck on.

01

Pick your plan

Tell us where you're going.

Start by typing your destination — country, city, or region. Roameo surfaces plans built for that route, sorted by what most travellers your length-of-trip actually pick.

If you don't want to choose, our AI assistant picks for you: it cross-references trip length, destination data demand, and your past plans (if any) to recommend a single eSIM in under five seconds.

02

Pay securely

Apple Pay, Google Pay, or card.

Checkout is handled by Stripe — the same payment infrastructure used by Shopify, Lyft and Slack. Roameo never sees your card number; we only see the success token.

We accept Apple Pay, Google Pay, all major credit cards, and selected local wallets across Asia. Receipts land in your inbox within seconds of the payment clearing.

03

Receive your QR

Email + in-app, instant.

The moment your payment clears, Roameo's provisioning server requests a fresh eSIM profile from the destination carrier and ships a QR code straight to your email — typically in under 30 seconds.

Your QR also appears inside the Roameo app under My eSIMs, so you can re-display it on the plane or hand the screen to a friend installing theirs without digging through email.

04

Install on your phone

Scan, label, toggle data roaming.

Installation takes about 60 seconds. You scan the QR with your phone's camera, label the line, and choose how to split data vs calls between your home SIM and the new Roameo eSIM.

We recommend doing this the night before your flight — that way you connect the instant you land instead of fishing for Wi-Fi in an arrivals hall.

Connect on landing

Toggle airplane mode off — you're on.

When your plane touches down, switch off airplane mode. Your Roameo eSIM registers with the local network in seconds and you're online — maps, messages, ride apps — before the seatbelt sign turns off.

If something goes wrong, our refund policy is non-negotiable: send a screenshot of the failed connection within 24 hours of landing and we'll process a full refund. No support ticket marathon.
