eSIM activation and validity planner

Check whether your last intended use falls before the expiry boundary stated by your provider. Installation, activation and expiry can be different events.

The starting values are an example. Select the rule stated by your provider; a listed number of days does not establish it.

The entered expiry is treated as an exclusive boundary. Leave room for delays; this does not query your live eSIM status.

Start with the actual timing rule

A plan advertised as “seven days” does not explain when its timer begins or how days are counted. Confirm whether activation occurs on installation, first network connection or a scheduled time. If the trigger is not confirmed, the tool withholds a result rather than assume you can install early without starting the clock.

For illustration, a confirmed seven-by-24-hour window beginning at 09:00 in Hong Kong on 10 October ends at 09:00 on 17 October. Under an explicitly stated calendar-date rule that counts 10 October as day one, the seventh date is 16 October and the next-midnight boundary is 00:00 on 17 October. A last use at 18:00 on 16 October leaves fifteen hours in the first example and six hours in the second. These are different rules, not competing predictions about a specific Roameo profile.

Use the exact expiry displayed by your provider when it is available. Enter it in the selected time zone. At the boundary itself, this planner treats the window as ended; add a practical buffer for delays rather than relying on a final minute of service.

Daylight-saving transitions can repeat or skip local times. If a time occurs twice, choose its UTC-labelled occurrence. A skipped time has no result. A calendar boundary that cannot be resolved uniquely requires the exact-expiry option. The downloaded calendar file is a planning checkpoint; it does not activate an eSIM, fetch your account status or automatically add an event to another service.

Prepare before installation

  • Find the activation trigger, activation deadline and expiry convention in the actual offer or instructions.
  • Check that the stated window reaches the last stop where you need data, not only the first arrival.
  • Keep installation instructions and your order reference available offline.
  • Confirm your exact phone variant and the plan’s destination list separately; enough validity does not establish compatibility or coverage.

If the actual offer does not explain its activation trigger or counting rule, confirm those details before installation. A duration label alone is not enough to decide when your last day ends.
