Global Village Dubai — Global Village Dubai · Dubai International Airport · Mall of the Emirates Bus Station
Dubai Global Village opens Season 31 on 14 October 2026, eight days after this guide was checked, and the useful booking detail is already live: Visit Dubai is selling an any-day early-bird entry for AED 30 (about US$8.17). The catch is not small print to ignore. The ticket becomes unusable after 27 November 2026, even though Global Village itself continues into 2027.
That makes this a decision for travellers booking Dubai now, not an evergreen promise about what admission will cost all season. The official Visit Dubai product page says the offer can be used on any day from 14 October through 27 November and cannot be cancelled. Global Village's own sales page, meanwhile, still says regular Season 31 entry tickets will be available soon. Buy the AED 30 product only if your visit lands inside its stated window.
What the AED 30 ticket buys
The product is an entry ticket, not an all-inclusive park pass. Treat AED 30 as the cost of crossing the gate, then set a separate food, shopping, ride and paid-attraction budget. That distinction matters at a venue built around pavilions, dining and entertainment: a low admission price does not tell you what your whole evening will cost.
The US-dollar comparison uses XE's live 6 October mid-market rate, which converted AED 30 to US$8.1688; about US$8.17 is therefore a planning figure rather than the amount every card will settle. Your bank may use a different rate or add a foreign-transaction charge.
The early-bird ticket is flexible about the day but strict about the end date. You do not have to select one immutable visit date when using the any-day offer, yet the page states twice that it is valid only until 27 November 2026. It also says the ticket cannot be cancelled. If your flight, hotel or wider itinerary is still uncertain, the apparent saving has value only if you are comfortable carrying that non-refundable risk.
Do not read AED 30 as the confirmed standard price for December, the New Year period or spring 2027. As of 6 October, Global Village's own booking page still labels regular Season 31 tickets “available soon.” A later ticket can have a different price or condition.
Who enters free, and where the free ticket comes from
The Visit Dubai listing says children under three and seniors above 65 enter free, but they should have their tickets issued at the admissions counter. That is different from simply walking to the gate without a ticket. Bring proof of age that you would be comfortable showing if staff ask for it.
Global Village's official visitor page also states that People of Determination and one companion receive free entry. It lists reserved parking, accessible toilets and wheelchair-friendly access to attractions. Because the page does not say that this free category is issued through the Visit Dubai early-bird checkout, use the admissions counter or ask Global Village directly before arrival if you need a specific access arrangement.
The booking widget gives one more family rule: a child aged 11 or younger may enter only with an adult aged 18 or older. Families should therefore keep the adult's booking and any counter-issued child ticket together rather than splitting the group across separate arrival times.
Season dates: what is confirmed and what is not
The confirmed opening is 14 October. Global Village currently describes the season as running from 14 October 2026 to May 2027, but it has not posted a precise May closing day on the booking page. The honest planning line is therefore May 2027; exact closing date not yet posted. Do not turn “May” into 31 May when booking flights or a hotel.
For an October or November trip, the early-bird window gives a clear boundary. For December onward, wait for Global Village's standard ticket inventory and day-specific information. The plan-your-visit page still contains some general seasonal copy and hidden timing text, so it is safer to use the live ticket flow for your date than to copy opening hours from an old search result.
A good booking order is simple:
- Confirm that your Dubai night falls between 14 October and 27 November.
- Check the live Global Village calendar for that exact date and any day-specific admission rule.
- Buy through Global Village or the Dubai tourism authority's booking page, not a screenshot of an offer passed around social media.
- Save the ticket offline, then recheck operating hours and transport on the day.
Use the four seasonal buses, but recheck the timetable
Global Village has no metro station at its gate. Its official access page currently lists Routes 102, 103, 104 and 106 during the season: Route 102 from Centrepoint Metro Station, Route 103 from Union Metro Station, Route 104 from Al Ghubaiba Bus Station via Max Fashion Metro Station, and Route 106 from Mall of the Emirates Metro Station.
The same page says the service usually runs from 15:15 to 23:15 daily and gives a 30-minute travel time. The word “usually” matters. Road traffic, the opening week and special-event operations can change the useful departure. Check the RTA journey planner on your visit date and do not treat 23:15 as a promise that every route leaves the gate at that exact minute.
| Route | Useful origin | Planning use |
|---|---|---|
| 102 | Centrepoint Metro Station | Connects from the Red Line's eastern side |
| 103 | Union Metro Station | Useful from central Deira |
| 104 | Al Ghubaiba Bus Station | Passes Max Fashion Metro Station |
| 106 | Mall of the Emirates Metro Station | Useful from the southern Red Line corridor |
Choose the route from where you are actually staying, not from the airport by default. An international traveller may arrive through Dubai International Airport, but there is no reason to drag luggage to Global Village on arrival day. Check into the hotel, travel light and make the park its own evening.
Driving: free parking versus a shorter walk
The official map lists P1, P3 and P5 as free parking areas. P1 and P3 are about 400 metres from the Gate of the World entrance; P5 is about 450 metres away. For most drivers, those are the budget defaults. Save the car's position before walking away because a large arrival area looks very different after dark and after several hours inside.
Paid Parking 2 is listed at AED 75 per day and roughly 350 metres from the Happiness Gate. Another paid parking area is AED 120 per day, while VIP parking is AED 200 per day and complimentary to qualifying VIP-pack holders. Those prices make the trade-off unusually clear: the cheapest paid option saves only around 50 to 100 metres compared with the named free areas. Check the live map before paying, because the value is location and convenience, not admission.
Global Village calls itself a very large outdoor park and recommends comfortable shoes plus its app for navigation. Download the app and your ticket before leaving hotel Wi-Fi, then keep a screenshot of the parking zone or bus stop for the return.
Build an evening that does not depend on perfect mobile data
Before leaving the hotel, save the ticket QR code, the current park map, the return-bus option and a backup taxi pickup point. Add your hotel's name and address in both English and a form you can show a driver. These are practical safeguards when thousands of visitors are trying to load the same maps and booking screens.
If your phone is unlocked and eSIM-compatible, compare United Arab Emirates eSIM plans before the trip and install the chosen plan while you still have stable internet. Roameo resells access over local networks, so signal and network generation depend on the plan, device, location and local conditions. Check your model on the eSIM compatibility page rather than assuming support.
Do not make connectivity a substitute for preparation. A working data plan helps with live RTA checks and a ride-hailing fallback, but the offline ticket and saved meeting point are what still work if the venue is busy or the phone battery is low.
Check UAE entry permission by passport
UAE entry rules are passport-specific, so there is no single visa sentence that applies to a worldwide audience. Check the current rule for the passport you will travel on before buying a non-refundable attraction ticket. If your passport requires a pre-arranged tourist visa, Dubai's official GDRFA single-entry tourist-visa service currently describes 30- or 60-day permits sponsored or hosted by a UAE tourism establishment; its document list includes a passport copy and personal photo, with an origin-country identity card requested for some nationalities.
That service page is not proof that every traveller needs to apply through it. Some passports follow a different entry route. Confirm your own case with the UAE authority or the airline before travel, and make sure the passport details used for the flight and any visa application match.
A practical Season 31 booking decision
Buy the early-bird ticket now if your trip is firm, your chosen evening falls inside 14 October-27 November, and you accept the no-cancellation term. Wait if your dates are fluid, you are travelling in December or later, or you need Global Village to publish a precise closing date before committing.
For transport, start with the seasonal bus connected to your part of Dubai; for driving, compare the short walk from free parking with the AED 75 minimum paid option. Whichever route you choose, arrive with the ticket, return plan and park map already saved. That turns an AED 30 admission into a planned evening rather than the first cost in a chain of avoidable decisions at the gate.
