Flower Dome, Gardens by the Bay — Flower Dome, Gardens by the Bay · Supertree Grove · Singapore Changi Airport
As of 7 October 2026, Gardens by the Bay has published the decision travellers actually need before a year-end Singapore trip: its Christmas Train Show will occupy Flower Dome from 20 Nov 2026–3 Jan 2027. It is not a separate evening-market ticket. The display sits inside a paid conservatory, opens with the dome at 09:00 and runs until 21:00, so the useful choice is which Flower Dome product to buy and when to fit it around the rest of Marina Bay.
The show sends miniature trains through a Nordic winter scene: Santa's hometown in Finland, Rovaniemi-style toy workshops, Christmas trees and poinsettias. That is a sharply different setting from Singapore's outdoor festive events, and it also makes the display workable in rain. The organiser warns that floral-display details can change, so book for the railway-and-conservatory experience rather than one particular model building shown in advance.
Dates, hours and the ticket you actually need
The official event listing gives the complete run as Friday 20 November 2026 through Sunday 3 January 2027. Hours are Daily, 09:00–21:00, and the location is Flower Dome, Gardens by the Bay. The separate Flower Dome visitor page sets last admission at 20:30 and suggests one hour inside the dome. Treat 20:30 as a hard outer edge, not a sensible arrival target: it leaves only 30 minutes before closing and little margin for a queue or a second look at the trains.
The event page says a Flower Dome admission charge applies. On 7 October, the published non-resident ticket matrix did not show a stand-alone Flower Dome product. Its lowest listed visitor option was Flower Dome plus Cloud Forest, including the Jurassic World experience, at From S$46 (about US$35.90) for an adult and S$32 (about US$25) for a child aged three to 12. The larger adult bundle added Floral Fantasy and shuttle service for S$73 (about US$57), with a S$51 (about US$39.80) child price.
| Published non-resident product | Adult | Child, 3–12 | What it changes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Flower Dome + Cloud Forest | S$46 / about US$35.90 | S$32 / about US$25 | Lowest listed visitor product; allow roughly two hours for both conservatories |
| Flower Dome + Cloud Forest + Floral Fantasy + shuttle | S$73 / about US$57 | S$51 / about US$39.80 | Adds a third attraction and internal transport; published duration is three hours |
Those USD figures use the 7 October Wise mid-market display of S$1 to US$0.7811 and are orientation figures, not the card rate you are promised. Gardens by the Bay states that its prices are in Singapore dollars and include GST. Recheck the live ticket page before payment because the event is still more than a month away and the attraction controls its own product mix.
Do not select the S$12 Flower Dome adult rate unless you qualify as a Singapore resident. The attraction defines that group as citizens, permanent residents and people living in Singapore under listed passes, and says proof of residency and a local bank card may be required. An overseas holidaymaker should budget from the non-resident column.
When to go: three practical time plans
An opening-time visit suits travellers who care most about seeing the miniature details and taking photographs before building a larger Marina Bay day. Enter at 09:00, give Flower Dome the published one-hour allowance, then continue to Cloud Forest while the combined ticket is already active. This is the cleanest plan if a late flight or evening reservation makes the night unreliable.
A mid-afternoon visit is the flexible choice. Start inside the conservatories, then walk to Supertree Grove after the indoor portion. The two pins are close enough to belong in one Gardens by the Bay outing, but they are different spaces: buying Flower Dome access does not reserve a seat or timed place elsewhere. Keep the ticket confirmation available offline so a weak signal at an entrance does not become the day's bottleneck.
An after-dinner visit gives the miniature lights a festive mood, but it has the least tolerance for delay. Enter well before 20:00 if the train display is the purpose of the trip. Although the last-admission line says 20:30, a late arrival compresses the published one-hour dome visit into half that time. The show is available all day, so there is no ticket advantage in gambling on the final slot.
Getting to Flower Dome without choosing the wrong station exit
Gardens by the Bay's official transport directions give two useful rail approaches. From Bayfront MRT on the Circle or Downtown Line, use Exit B, follow the underground linkway, then cross Dragonfly Bridge or Meadow Bridge into the gardens. From Gardens by the Bay MRT on the Thomson-East Coast Line, use Exit 1. The station with the attraction's name is not automatically the best choice for every itinerary; Bayfront is often the more legible approach when coming through the Marina Bay Sands side.
If you arrive via the East-West Line, the official route is less direct: leave Tanjong Pagar MRT at Exit C, walk to bus stop 03223 at International Plaza, take bus 400 and get off at stop 03371 on Marina Gardens Drive. Save those stop numbers rather than relying on a generic map pin. For a taxi or ride-hail, use “Flower Dome” as the destination, not simply “Gardens by the Bay”; the site covers a large waterfront area.
Singapore Changi Airport is the map's gateway pin, but there is no event-specific airport transfer. Build the show into a city itinerary after checking into your accommodation, not into a tight layover. The paid conservatory ticket, immigration clearance and cross-city journey are separate dependencies, and missing one does not oblige the others to refund you.
Singapore entry steps to complete before the trains
Singapore's Immigration & Checkpoints Authority updated its entry-requirements page on 29 September 2026. It says foreign passports generally need at least six months' validity. If your passport is from a visa-required country or region, obtain the appropriate visa; the SG Arrival Card does not replace it. Short-term visitors should also hold proof of onward travel and enough funds for their stay.
For most visitors clearing immigration, the SG Arrival Card is Free; due within three days of arrival, counting the arrival day. Submit it only through the ICA e-service or MyICA app. ICA explicitly says the submission is free and that paid assistance sites are not affiliated with the agency. Travellers transiting without seeking immigration clearance are excluded, but they also cannot leave airside for Gardens by the Bay.
The sensible offline folder for this outing has four items: passport and entry records, the Flower Dome QR or booking confirmation, a screenshot of the transport route and a copy of the event page showing the date. Before buying mobile data, check that the phone is unlocked and supports eSIM on the model and market variant you own; Roameo's compatibility checker is the safer starting point. Travellers who pass that check can compare current Singapore eSIM plans before departure.
What is worth booking now
Book now if the train show is a must-do on a fixed Singapore date, particularly if the lowest non-resident bundle is the one you want. The event dates are public and the current ticket products are live; waiting does not reveal a separate train-show ticket because the organiser has already said Flower Dome admission applies. If your dates are flexible, first settle where the show sits in the wider Marina Bay plan, then buy the smaller or larger bundle according to the other attractions you genuinely intend to visit.
Do not buy the S$73 bundle merely because it looks like the complete option. Its value depends on using Floral Fantasy and the shuttle as well as both conservatories. Conversely, the S$46 product is not “just the trains”: it includes Cloud Forest, so rushing out after Flower Dome discards part of what you paid for. The useful budgeting question is therefore not the train show's standalone price—it has none—but whether you have roughly two hours or three hours for the published bundle.
FAQ
When is the Gardens by the Bay Christmas Train Show in 2026?
It runs from 20 November 2026 through 3 January 2027 inside Flower Dome. Published hours are 09:00 to 21:00 daily, with Flower Dome's last admission at 20:30.
Is the Christmas Train Show free?
No. The official listing says Flower Dome admission applies. On 7 October 2026, the lowest published non-resident adult product that included Flower Dome was S$46, about US$35.90, bundled with Cloud Forest.
Which MRT station should I use for Flower Dome?
Bayfront MRT works via Exit B and the underground linkway, followed by Dragonfly Bridge or Meadow Bridge. Gardens by the Bay MRT works via Exit 1. Choose according to the line serving your previous stop rather than assuming one station is always faster.
Do I need a Singapore visa or SG Arrival Card?
Visa rules depend on your passport. The SG Arrival Card is a separate, free arrival submission required for most travellers clearing immigration and must be filed within three days of arrival, including the arrival day. It is not a visa.
How long should I allow?
Gardens by the Bay recommends one hour for Flower Dome, two hours for the Flower Dome and Cloud Forest product, and three hours for the larger three-attraction bundle. Add a margin before closing if the railway display is the main reason for your visit.
